Though the origins of our studio can be traced back to 2005, my forays into the technical end of audio/video began long ago.
As a kid I had an intense fascination with computers and media. We had a commodore 64 and I spent hours on it trying to write basic code for ‘jumpman’ one of the first computer games ever. When we finally got a camcorder I poured over the manual to find out how to use all its features and quickly became the family videographer, a title I proudly hold to this day.
As I got older I carried around a mini-cassette recorder to record antics of my friends, mixing things together to create hours unintelligible hilarity.
The joys and art of storytelling through media has been a passion that I’ve nurtured all my life and I’m so grateful to get the chance to continue this work professionally.
Of course, I couldn’t do any of this without the amazing loving support of my wife, Allison Gemmel Laframboise. We both knew we wanted a family and both worked hard to pursue work that allowed us to be done at home so we could be together as a family more.
